4-star Praslin Hotel on Cote d'Or Beach

Paradise Hotel Praslin is one hotel that we keep going back to again and again. Why? Well, it's a nice place. Good location, big rooms, a relaxing setting, plenty of activities on offer and close to several cafes and restaurants along the beach. For us it's a good place for a quiet weekend, not forgetting that it's only a short drive to Anse Lazio Beach!

Paradise Sun Hotel is down the Cote d'Or road on the north coast of Praslin about 25 minutes from the Praslin airport and 15 minutes from the Baie Sainte Anne ferry jetty. It's the last of several hotels along this long, straight stretch of road down Cote d'Or Beach with two restaurants, one right on the beach.

Anse Lazio Beach in Praslin Seychelles

This is one of the larger Praslin hotels. The entrance is on your left when you arrive from the airport or the ferry jetty. It's quite a lively place with live entertainment and dancing most nights at the hotel. We've stayed there several times, so I can say it's quite nice and good value too - the reason we keep returning.

Paradise Sun Hotel is located at the western end of Cote d'Or Beach. The accommodation is in chalets spread around in the garden with a total of 80 rooms - 70 superior plus 10 deluxe family rooms. They are big and airy, furnished in the French-Creole style creating an inviting atmosphere. All the rooms are ensuite and have air conditioners.

The hotel has 2 restaurants, a bar-lounge and a pool bar, but the beach bar is the best place for a sundowner with your toes in the soft, fine, white sand. Yes the beach bar and restaurant is actually right on the beach.

The main restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and dinner while the beach restaurant provides lunch and buffet dinner with live entertainment.

Here you can enjoy French cuisine or sample Creole fare while you listen to traditional island music. You can also join the Sega / Moutia dancers in their enchanting performance.

If you are into water sports, at Paradise Sun Hotel Praslin you get free use of kayaks, windsurfers and pedal boats. They also have a PADI dive centre and twice a week you can join their unique sunset cruise.

Snorkelling equipment is also available but I would say: be especially careful, as there has been a fatal boating accident involving a swimmer in the area. For safe swimming I would suggest you use the hotel swimming pool instead.

 

We stay at Paradise but like to eat elsewhere. We especially like to have dinner at Village du Pecheur, our preferred restaurant on Praslin Island, a mile down the beach. There are several other interesting eateries in the area too, so another definite plus for Paradise Sun Hotel Praslin.

In addition there's also its location of course. Did you know that Cote d'Or Beach is the longest on Praslin? Absolutely. It's even longer than all the beaches on Mahe. :).
