Planning your cheap Seychelles beach holiday? Read on if you are on a tight budget or else check out the best Seychelles holiday, if you can afford more. On your cheap beach holiday in Seychelles try and see at least the 3 major islands - Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.

Try to spend at least 3 days on Mahe, 2 days on Praslin and a day on La Digue. Then try squeeze in a day trip or half day to either Cousin Island or Aride Island. To make your cheap Seychelles beach holiday a reality you'll need to see the selection of hotels here.

You could travel around by public bus but our recommendation is that you rent a car for at least 2 days on Mahe and explore the west coast. That's where all the nice beaches are located but the best beaches of Mahe are relatively far apart. And some don't even have regular buses, so the need for a car rental.

Use the ferry from Victoria to Praslin and from there to La Digue. There are other options but the ferry is the cheapest way to get between Mahe, Praslin and La Digue islands.

On Praslin, rent a car there too for one day and explore all the beaches. Make sure you get to Anse Lazio Beach - enjoy it. Then you can use the pubic bus when you decide to visit the Vallee de Mai (May Valley) perhaps on your second day there.

Yes those are the two "must-see" attractions on Praslin Island and definitely you must do both even on your cheap Seychelles holiday. Take a self guided tour and spend at least a couple of hours in the nature reserve.

You do not want to be in a large group to enjoy the forest "magic" of the Vallee de Mai. Just keep your eyes and ears open and soak in the ambience. This is a prehistoric forest, but there are no monsters there and no dangerous wild creatures - It's just an amazing place.

On La Digue Island you absolutely must rent a bike. Cycle around the island and make sure you get to Grand Anse and P'tit Anse beaches - See our free map of La Digue. And check out the 5 best Seychelles beaches. Forget public transport on La Digue. And avoid the tourist traps there. Don't follow the crowd. Then you'll do more, see more and enjoy it more.

La Digue is only a short ferry trip from Praslin. Take the early boat. There's plenty to see there in one day. And La Digue is one place you must absolutely see on your cheap Seychelles beach holiday. Don't skip this for any reason.

Take the last ferryboat back to Praslin. Stay the night on Praslin - close to Baie Ste Anne Jetty or Cote D'or - Anse Volbert area. There are many cheap hotels and guesthouses to choose from in that area.

You can easily take a bus to Grand Anse Praslin in the morning if you plan on a day trip to Cousin Island the next day. Boats from Grand Anse Praslin are cheaper and the trip to Cousin from there is only 15 minutes.

Generally speaking, since you'll be travelling to Mahe and La Digue from Baie Sainte Anne Jetty it is best to stay in the Baie Sainte Anne - Cote D'or Area. But if you decide to fly to Mahe then you could consider Grand Anse - Anse Kerlan as an option. Otherwise there is no need to cross the island again just for a hotel room on Praslin Island.

When you get back to Mahe leave enough time to shop for souvenirs in downtown Victoria, the capital of Seychelles, and visit some historic sites like the Victoria market and the two cathedrals.
