The Chateau, as the name suggests, "Castle of Leaves," and its cottages have thatched roofs and palm leaves are used extensively in construction and decoration. It sits on top of a hill with a spectacular vista over the exquisite, peaceful, turquoise ocean a hundred metres down below.

Chateau de Feuilles is one of the best small hotels in Seychelles. It is in many ways the best hotel on Praslin. This is not the typical Seychelles beachside hotel. But then, why is it so special? Why do people talk about it so much? All is revealed...

It's all very much a part of the experience of staying at Le Chateau de Feuilles. You can go snorkelling or just go discover the island's primitive interior and its beaches. It's a unique adventure and not to be missed.

The rooms at the Chateau de Feuilles are not Four-Seasons luxurious, but nice, comfortable, ensuite, well decorated and exotic with Plasma TV and Satellite channels, DVD player, free Wi-Fi Internet access and a Mac computer, so you can keep up with the world when you're not too busy living the dream.

All the rooms have incredible, breath-taking views. Some have two terraces or balconies from where you can have vistas on the two different bays - "Anse Consolation" and "Anse Marie Louise".

Staying at the Chateau is an absolute magical experience for most, with its beautiful garden - a real Eden with amazing views from just about everywhere on the property!

 

Oh! Did I say that this is not a beach hotel? The sea is right there below you but it would still take at least 5 minutes to walk to the beach at Anse Marie Louise, which is secluded but not a particularly great beach. But then again, there aren't that many great beaches on the island.

But your complimentary car will take you to the great beaches - the best beaches of Praslin, like Cote d'Or in 15 minutes, Anse Lazio in 25 minutes and Anse Georgette in less than 30 minutes. So, there you have it all.

The UNESCO world heritage site, the Vallee de Mai prehistoric palm forest is some 15 minutes away, while 5 minutes will get you to the ferry jetty and the Praslin airport is 25 minutes drive. Use that free car...
