This page has been set up for SBI webmasters seeking exchange of value. Please note: While we always welcome links to our site we do not exchange links with everyone. And I hope this page will help you with your own link exchange program, even if you decide that we do not quite match after all. :).

I can't stress that enough -- do NOT link with poor-quality sites. And do not link with link farms or pages that have tons of links scattered willy-nilly all over them... no one will ever see the link to you, and engines penalize those pages now.

My linking policies are based on Ken's sound advice, part of which I've highlighted. What is "tons of links?" -- "engines penalize those pages"
So what are we to do? Here's what...

You'll place my link on your site on a Tier 2 or Tier 3 page with less than 10 outgoing links in total if my site is a suitable match, and then...

For you to get a link back...

1. Your page from which you link to me must be about one of these topics:
   Beaches
   Islands
   Holidays
   Vacation
   Seychelles
   Indian Ocean
   Africa
   (in that order the top two being preferred themes)
   
2. Your page must have no more than 10 outgoing links. You must have a policy of limiting the number of links on that page. I do not want to be a part of any link farm. If your page with my link ever exceeds that number any link already provided from my site will be taken down. Yes we do monitor our link partners.
3. Your page containing my link must be a "real" page - one providing real value to your visitors, not one to fool the SE. The Search Engines are getting better at their job!

In return...

You get a link from my site on a page with no more than 10 outgoing links total with a commitment to you that this number will never be exceeded. This is most important to create a valuable exchange for you and me now and in the long term. And make no mistake - The number of links on a page does matter at the Search Engines.

For your info, I'd rather have 10 good links from deserving partners than 1000 links from directories that want you to link back to them. My site is not a directory. My site is there to provide value to my visitors. So every page must do just that. Is that what you're striving for too? If yes, good.

This page has been created to weed out the many useless link exchange proposals and proceed with the valuable ones to a satisfactory close - a valuable exchange that will benefit us both for years to come. Do you still think that we can do an exchange?

Do you wonder why I do not provide a standard copy that you can just paste into your page? It's because I do not want to provide the search engines with more useless duplicate content. So if we get to the exchange I'll write a short unique 2-liner for your page. Your site deserves it. :).
